MASON INVITE UPDATES
Update 1: July 1st, 2026
We’re excited to announce the 6th Annual Mason Science Olympiad Invitational, running via a Satellite format on Scilympiad from November 14th to the 22nd. These dates give teams 2 full weekends to take the tests, along with the week in between. There is no limit to the number of teams per school or the number of teams that can attend this tournament.
We will be running all 23 events in both Division B and C, along with many fun trial events, so stay on the lookout for those to be announced. Some of the trial events we have run in the past include our famous Trivia (Taylor’s Version), Pokethology, Supercell Showdown, Bot, K-Pop Trivia, and many more!
Additionally, the top 6 teams in each event will be raffled off to win some fun prizes, which will be shipped out along with the awards (see our list for 2022 here).
For a general indication of test quality, feel free to check out our tournament archive. Tests are primarily written by coaches, alumni, Mason Scioly, and other volunteers. Like in previous years, all tests, keys, and histograms will be publicly released after the competition period has concluded.
The cost of registration for this tournament is $85 each for the first two teams, and $65 for any subsequent teams, with no limit to the number of teams from one school that can register. The registration will be done through Scilympiad and will open up later this fall.
Finally, we are looking for some Alumni volunteers or High School writers with a history of writing quality tests to help us run the tournament, the application for which can be found here. High Schoolers whose school is competing for Division C will be allowed to write tests for Division B, so feel free to apply.

Thank you for your time! We hope to see you at Mason Invitational this year!
