MASON INVITE
This year's invitational will be running via a satellite format on Scilympiad from November 16th - 24th!
ABOUT
The Mason Invitational has been run by members of the Mason Science Olympiad team annualy for the last 4 years, with the first being run during the 2020-2021 academic year on Saturday, March 20th. There have been 4 renditions of the tournament, with 3 being via a satellite format and a single in-person tournament in 2023. All tests for the invite are made and reviewed by our high quality test writing team, which consists of members from the Mason Science Olympiad team and others from the highest level of competition. Every event has a special prize that is given away to one of the teams that earn a medal for that event (see our list for 2022 here) Finally, each invitational run comes with many fun trial events, with some in the past including Trivia (Taylor's Version), Astrology, and Pokethology.
VOLUNTEER
We are looking for experienced test-writers to join volunteer and help write tests for this invitational! Writing a test also assumes the responsibility of grading the tests the week after the invitational is over, though we hope to ensure that every event has at least 2 writers. If you are interested, fill out our Event Supervisor Application. Students whose High School is competing for Division C will still be allowed to write tests for division B.
